We do not have a cure for Diabetes yet. So, once you are diagnosed with it, you should know that it will be a lifelong condition. But doesn’t mean that you cant lead a healthy life. With some healthy lifestyle choices, you can easily control type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Uncontrolled diabetes can lead to serious consequences like heart disease, stroke, and kidney diseases. Below is a list of possible complications of uncontrolled diabetes that can be caused by badly controlled diabetes:
Eye Complications
Diabetic Retinopathy, Glaucoma, Cataracts, and some others.
Foot Complications
Neuropathy, Ulcers, and sometimes Gangrene.
Skin Complications
People with diabetes are more susceptible to skin infections and skin disorders.
Heart Problems
When the blood supply to the heart muscle is diminished, ischemic heart disease might trigger.
Hypertension
People with diabetes are more likely to also have high blood pressure or hypertension.
Mental health
Uncontrolled diabetes raises the risk of suffering from depression, anxiety and some other mental disorders.
Stroke
if blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood glucose levels are not controlled the risk of stroke increases significantly for the Diabetes patients.
